Child and family therapy in Temecula and online across California.
Support for emotional challenges, communication, parenting, and family transitions.
Support for Children and Families
When your child is struggling or family life feels tense, it can be hard to know how to help. You may notice more worry, emotional outbursts, withdrawal, or recurring arguments that leave everyone feeling misunderstood. Changes such as divorce, a new sibling, or school challenges can add stress to the whole family.
At Mindful Transitions Therapy, we support children, teens, parents, and families as they navigate emotional challenges and relationship changes. Together, we work on understanding feelings, improving communication, and building skills for more connection at home. We offer in-person therapy in Temecula and telehealth throughout California.
Therapy for children and teens
We work with children and teens ages 5-17 who are navigating anxiety, overwhelming emotions, school stress, friendship difficulties, or changes at home. Therapy offers space to express what they’re experiencing and practice ways to manage feelings, communicate their needs, and handle challenges. We tailor our approach to each child’s age, development, and individual needs.
Family Therapy and Parenting Support
Repeated arguments, differences in parenting, and feeling disconnected can leave family members unsure how to move forward. Family therapy helps you understand recurring patterns, communicate more clearly, and work through conflict together.
We also support parents navigating boundaries, emotional outbursts, coparenting, and changes such as separation, a new sibling, or shifting family roles. Together, we explore practical ways to respond to challenges and strengthen your connection with your children.
How we work with your family
We begin by learning about your concerns, your family’s strengths, and what you hope will change. Depending on your goals, sessions may involve your child individually, parents or caregivers, or family members together.
Your therapist will discuss who should participate and how caregivers can support progress between sessions. When working with children and teens, we explain privacy and its limits so everyone understands how information will be shared.
