You may spend your days caring for everyone while feeling overwhelmed and disconnected. Pregnancy and postpartum can change your confidence, relationships, and sense of identity. You might miss who you were before motherhood and feel guilty admitting it. Even with people around you, you may feel alone in what you’re experiencing.

You may feel anxious when someone else cares for your baby or struggle to rest. Exhaustion can leave you impatient with your children, then replaying those moments at night. You want to enjoy your family while having room for your own needs.

Motherhood can feel especially overwhelming alongside relationship strain, coparenting challenges, or domestic violence. Caring for your family while processing painful experiences can leave little energy for yourself. Therapy offers space to explore those experiences and identify the support you need.

My Approach

Who I work with

Together, we’ll explore what feels overwhelming and how it affects your daily life. My approach is trauma-informed, with attention to your comfort, choices, and readiness. We’ll consider how past experiences influence your emotions, relationships, and responses to stress. You’ll have room to process difficult feelings and practice skills between sessions.

I use cognitive behavioral therapy to explore thoughts that contribute to anxiety and guilt. Together, we’ll practice responding to those thoughts with greater flexibility and self-compassion. Mindfulness strategies can help you notice tension and reconnect with your body. Emotion-focused work can help you understand your feelings and express what you need. We’ll choose approaches that fit your goals and adjust as your needs change.

Through our work, you can build confidence in communicating needs and setting boundaries. You may begin recognizing emotional triggers and responding with more patience and intention. Our goals will reflect what matters to you, including connection, confidence, and relief.

More than just my work

As a wife and mom of three, I bring personal understanding of motherhood. My professional experience includes supporting families affected by domestic violence and providing therapy across the lifespan. I’ve also worked as a foster agency social worker, supporting families through complex circumstances.

My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth, with space for honest conversations. I welcome the feelings you may hesitate to share with others. Together, we’ll make room for reflection and identify practical changes for everyday life.

I invite you to schedule a consultation and share what brings you to therapy. We can discuss your goals and explore whether working together feels comfortable.
